Migraine

Beyond Calories: Restore Your Metabolic Fire (Agni)

Migraine

The Ayurvedic Perspective: Ayurveda describes Migraine as Ardhavabhedaka (literally “half-head breaking pain”). It is often a condition of Vata-Pitta imbalance. Vata (Wind) dries up the nerves, causing sensitivity, while Pitta (Fire) causes the throbbing, burning sensation and sensitivity to light. It is often linked to poor digestion, where gas/acidity rises upward, irritating the sensitive nerves of the head.

Healing Logic

Taking a painkiller for a migraine is like taking the batteries out of a smoke alarm. The alarm stops ringing (pain stops), but the fire (internal inflammation) is still burning. We put out the fire. We cool the overheated nerves and ground the erratic energy so the alarm doesn’t need to ring in the first place.

Our Approach

  • Nasya: The administration of medicated oil drops into the nostrils. This oil travels to the brain centres, calming the nerves directly.
  • Shirodhara: A continuous stream of warm oil on the “Third Eye” point to deeply relax the nervous system and break the cycle of chronic pain.

What to Expect:

  • Step 1: Book an Online Consultation to identify your triggers (Food vs. Stress).
  • Step 2: A cooling diet plan to reduce acidity and Pitta.
  • Step 3: Visit the clinic for Shirodhara to reset your pain threshold.

Sinusitis (Peenasa / Dushta Pratishyaya)

Chronic Sinusitis is a classic Kapha disorder. The sinus cavities, which should be filled with air (Vata), become filled with thick, sticky mucus (Kapha) and toxins. Over time, this stagnant mucus becomes a breeding ground for infection. In Ayurveda, this is often called Dushta Pratishyaya. The digestive fire is usually weak, creating more phlegm, which constantly refills the sinuses, causing heaviness and dull headaches

Nasal Polyps (Nasa Arshas)

Nasal Polyps (Nasa Arshas)

Nasal Polyps are non-cancerous growths that obstruct breathing. In Sushruta Samhita, these are called Nasa Arshas (Haemorrhoids of the nose). They are caused by a deep-seated aggravation of Kapha (mass/growth) and Rakta (blood). This is often a result of long-standing allergies or sinusitis, where the inflamed tissue swells and eventually forms a fleshy growth that blocks the air passage.
