Hairfall & Alopecia

Beyond Calories: Restore Your Metabolic Fire (Agni)

Hairfall & Alopecia

The Ayurvedic Perspective:

  • Hair Fall (Khalitya): Often caused by excess Pitta. The heat rises to the head and literally “burns” the hair roots, causing them to fall out.
  • Alopecia (Indralupta): This is where Kapha blocks the hair follicles (Romakupa). The path is blocked, so even if the root is alive, the new hair cannot push through the surface, leading to patches of baldness.

Healing Logic

Imagine a garden where the soil is covered in concrete (Kapha blockage) or the sun is scorching the saplings (Pitta heat). Fertilisers (hair oils) won’t work on concrete or in a fire. We break the concrete (clear the follicles) and cool the sun (reduce Pitta) so the hair can grow again.

Our Approach

  • Nasya: Since the nose is the doorway to the head, medicated oils dropped here deeply nourish the scalp from within.
  • Pracchana: A specialised therapy for Alopecia where we gently prick the bald patch to release the bad blood and stimulate the dormant follicles.

What to Expect:

  • Step 1: Book an Online Consultation to diagnose the root cause (Heat vs. Blockage).
  • Step 2: Receive specific hair-nutrient herbs (Rasayanas).
  • Step 3: Visit the clinic for Shirodhara and scalp therapies to regrow hair.

Lichen Planus

Lichen Planus

Lichen Planus is an inflammatory condition affecting the skin and mucous membranes. Ayurveda views this as a complex Tridosha imbalance involving "poison-like" toxins (Dooshi Visha) that have settled in the tissues over a long period. The immune system becomes confused and attacks the skin cells, leading to purplish, itchy, flat-topped bumps. It is deeply connected to stress and trapped heat in the body.

Acne

Acne

Acne is known as Mukha Dushika (destroyer of facial beauty). It is primarily a Pitta-Rakta disorder. When Pitta (Heat) increases in the body due to spicy food or hormonal shifts, it corrupts the blood. This hot, impure blood tries to escape through the facial pores. If Kapha (oiliness) is also present, it blocks the pore, creating a painful, pus-filled eruption.

Psoriasis & Eczema (Kushtha)

These are chronic conditions where the body’s detoxification system is failing. Psoriasis (Kitibha): Often a Vata-Kapha disorder. The skin becomes dry, rough, and scales over like the bark of a tree because the body is reproducing skin cells too fast in a chaotic attempt to protect itself. Eczema (Vicharchika): Can be dry (Vata) or weeping/oozing (Pitta-Kapha). It represents a "boiling over" of internal toxins that irritate the skin surface.
